House where pair found murdered
Two 14-year-olds have appeared at Crown Court for the first time charged with murdering a mother and her teenage daughter.
The bodies of 49-year-old Elizabeth Edwards and 13-year-old Katie Edwards have not been officially identified.
They were discovered at a house in Dawson Avenue in Spalding in Lincolnshire on Friday afternoon.
Prior to their appearance at Lincoln Crown Court a boy, aged 14, and a girl, also 14, appeared at Lincoln Youth Court, which was sitting at the city's magistrates' court.
The boy, wearing a navy sweatshirt, and the girl, wearing a grey jumper, spoke only to confirm their names.
The pair were remanded into secure youth accommodation and are next due to appear in court for a plea and trial preparation hearing on 27 June.
There was no application for bail and a provisional trial date has been set for 17 October.
