A 40-year-old woman who was stabbed multiple times has given birth after her ordeal - but she remains in a critical condition.

The baby of a pregnant woman who was critically injured in a stabbing has been born in hospital.
The baby is "doing well", according to West Midlands Police, who added the 40-year-old victim remains in a critical condition after the incident in Sutton Coldfield.
Police have also praised two men who "bravely" intervened in the disorder and suffered minor hand injuries.
Chief Inspector Julian Harper said initially one man intervened and then four others also came to help in the busy town centre.
Local officers had been flagged down by passers-by on Trinity Hill following the attack at around 3.15pm.
A 41-year-old man was immediately arrested over the assault and on Saturday afternoon police were granted more time to question him.
Mr Harper said of the victim and the suspect: "They are believed known to each other so this was what we call a domestic-related situation."
He added: "Obviously our wishes are with her and we hope that she will recover."
Earlier, the officer said of the attack: "This happened in a busy area.
"But I would reassure the community that a man has been arrested and we are working hard to understand the circumstances that led up to the assault.
"What is clear at this early stage is that two members of the public bravely stepped into what was a dangerous and volatile situation, with complete disregard for their own safety and I commend them for their actions.
"Fortunately they suffered only minor injuries."
