Police investigating the murder of a man whose body was found in a burnt-out car have released CCTV of a cyclist they want to speak to.
The body of 30-year-old Vilson Meshi was discovered in a grey Audi A4 in Pincey Mead, Pitsea, Essex, shortly before 5pm on Saturday, 27 February.
Footage shows a hooded cyclist trying to open the doors of parked cars just before 2.15am on the day Mr Mershi's body was found.
Detective Chief Inspector Stephen Jennings said: "Our enquiries have found this person was captured on CCTV in Pincey Mead in the early hours of the morning before Vilson's body was discovered in his Audi.
"I need to find this person to understand what they were doing in the area at that time as part of my work to establish who was responsible for Vilson's death."
A post-mortem examination found Mr Meshi died as a result of inhaling smoke.
Two youths aged 16 and a 15-year-old boy, all from Basildon, were arrested on suspicion of murder on 2 March. They have now been bailed until 14 March.
Another 16-year-old boy, from Basildon, was also arrested on suspicion of murder on 3 March. He has been released until 12 April.
