CCTV footage has been released of a man attacking a woman on a east London street during a violent robbery.
The 31-year-old woman was set upon by the suspect, who stole her phone, on Norwich Road, Forest Gate, around 4am on 20 February, Metropolitan Police said.
After getting off a night bus, she heard a man calling to her from the other side of the road, asking what she was doing,
The suspect, who was holding a bottle of red wine, crossed the street and knocked the victim's phone out of her hand.
After pushing her in the street and kicking her, he then punched her in the head and she fell to the ground.
The suspect took her phone and left her lying on the ground, police said.
The victim managed to get herself to a nearby house and raised the alarm before being treated for cuts on her forehead.
The suspect is described as black with short black hair and a black beard.
Detectives want to hear from anyone who may recognise the man shown on CCTV or who witnessed the incident.
