Female taxi driver left bruised after being sexually assaulted by passenger she picked up from Basingstoke town centre
A FEMALE taxi driver was left bruised after being sexually assaulted by a man who she picked up from Basingstoke town centre.
The woman collected two men from outside The Queens Arms in the early hours of Friday.
After dropping off the first man, the second passenger sexually assaulted her over her clothing, causing some bruising.
The man is described as Asian, of a skinny build, aged between 18 and 25 and with very dark brown or black hair, which was longer on the top and at the back, but shaved at the sides.
He was around 5ft tall and wearing a light coloured bomber jacket with a zip and a T-shirt underneath.
Police constable Kate Towerton said: "We would like to speak to anyone who saw a man matching this description in the town centre prior to getting into the taxi close to The Queens Arms or on the A339 at around 5am on the morning of Good Friday."
