A 29-year-old man has appeared in court accused of stabbing a pensioner.
Hamid Mahmood, of Harrogate Street, Undercliffe, Bradford, appeared before District Judge Richard Clews at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates' Court this morning.
Mahmood faced two charges. He is accused of unlawfully and maliciously wounding Peter Cottrell, on May 20 at his home in Harrogate Street, with intent to do him grievous bodily harm.
Mahmood is also charged with stealing a wallet and an Alcatel mobile phone, of a value unknown, belonging to Peter Cottrell, on the same date and at the same location.
Mahmood indicated not guilty pleas and was remanded in custody to next appear at Bradford Crown Court, on June 20, for pleas to be entered.
